Soccer fans in Toronto will soon get the chance to see one of the greatest players of all time take the pitch at BMO Field.

On May 8, Brazilian icon Ronaldinho will headline the inaugural Living Legends match, a one-night showcase celebrating the stars who helped shape the global game. The event will feature former Toronto FC greats facing off against Brazilian legends.

Joining Ronaldinho on the Brazilian side are notable names like Adriano, Emerson, and Maicon. Representing Toronto FC will be fan favorites including Sebastian Giovinco, Jozy Altidore, Julian de Guzman, and Dwayne De Rosario.

Organizers say the event aims to celebrate soccer culture in Canada while building excitement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will include matches in Toronto and Vancouver.

Tickets start at $45, with pre-sale for Toronto FC season ticket holders beginning March 11 and general public sales opening March 12.

For Ronaldinho, the match will mark his first time playing at BMO Field, giving fans a rare chance to see the legendary playmaker in action in Toronto.

Toronto FC v Inter Miami CF – May 9, 2026

May 9 isn’t just a game — it’s a city moment, and we’re working directly with MLSE to bring the Toronto Latinos community together for Toronto FC vs Inter Miami at BMO Field — a chance to watch Messi and other World Cup-bound stars live, right here in our backyard weeks before the FIFA World Cup.

But we’re not just pulling up for 90 minutes. We’re starting with a pre-party at the stadium hours before the match, and finishing the night with an afterparty steps from the field. No moving your car. No breaking the vibe. Just one full-day experience. If you’re coming, come with us.
