Karol G Launches LATINA PWR Program to Build the Next Generation of Latina Leaders

Global superstar Karol G is proving once again that her impact goes far beyond the stage. Through her Con Cora Foundation, she has unveiled a bold new initiative — LATINA PWR for Leadership — designed to empower young Latinas in the United States to break barriers, step into leadership roles, and drive community change.

For the first time, Con Cora has partnered with LatinoJustice PRLDEF, a landmark civil rights organization with a legacy of training more than 10,000 leaders since 1972. Together, they’ll run a year-long program in New York City from September 2025 through July 2026, focusing on mentorship, leadership training, advocacy, and career-building opportunities.

The program is tailored for first-generation college students pursuing careers in law, social justice, and community empowerment. Participants will gain access to:

  • Leadership workshops designed to dismantle systemic barriers

  • Mentorship from professionals across diverse fields

  • Networking opportunities to build career connections

  • Know Your Rights sessions with a focus on immigrant advocacy

The need is urgent. While Latinas make up 17% of adult women in the U.S. (over 22 million), more than 1 in 5 live in poverty, according to recent studies. LATINA PWR directly tackles these inequities, equipping women with tools to thrive and to lead.

“This is about recognizing the limitless potential of Latinas to transform their lives and communities,” said Valentina Bueno of the Con Cora Foundation.

For Karol G, it’s not just philanthropy — it’s about representation. Her foundation has long championed women’s empowerment, and this initiative cements her role as a cultural and social changemaker.

By blending education, advocacy, and mentorship, LATINA PWR for Leadership is setting the stage for a new generation of Latina trailblazers — women who won’t just succeed in their fields, but will also shape the systems that define opportunity for millions more.

At a time when barriers remain high, Karol G’s vision is clear: Latinas belong in spaces of power, influence, and leadership.
