In a tragic accident off the coast of São Paulo, Brazilian influencers Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, 37, and Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria, 27, lost their lives after a boating incident in the region known as Garganta do Diabo (Devil’s Throat). The two were part of a group of seven aboard a vessel that capsized on September 29. According to G1 Globo, only five of the passengers survived, and Amorim and Faria’s bodies were later recovered.

The boat’s pilot, who remains unidentified, stated that he attempted to rescue everyone but was only able to help some of the passengers back onto the vessel. Police reported that both women had opted not to wear life jackets, reportedly concerned the vests would interfere with their photos and tanning. Survivor Vanessa Audrey da Silva recounted her own ordeal to the International Business Times, explaining how she clung to a rock in the water until she was rescued. “I was fighting for my life,” she shared, underscoring the harrowing experience and difficulty of locating others amid the chaos.
