Last Chance: Frankie Negrón Takes Over Niagara Falls Tonight for a FREE Salsa Concert

If you were looking for an excuse to make a last-minute trip to Niagara Falls today, this might be it.

Today, Sunday, September 13, is the final day of the inaugural Salsa at Niagara Falls festival — and organizers are saving one of the biggest moments of the weekend for last.

Puerto Rican salsa star Frankie Negrón will perform a FREE concert tonight at 8 p.m., marking his return to Canada after nearly a decade.

And yes — the concert is completely free.

Set along the Niagara River Parkway with the world-famous Niagara Falls as its backdrop, Salsa at Niagara Falls has transformed one of Canada’s biggest tourist destinations into a celebration of Latin music, dance, food and culture.

The two-day festival features more than 300 performers across two live entertainment stages, along with dance lessons, performances, Latin food and specialty vendors.

But tonight belongs to Frankie Negrón.

Known as one of the standout voices of contemporary salsa, Negrón emerged in the late 1990s and built a career blending traditional salsa with influences from R&B, pop and other contemporary sounds.

His appearance in Niagara Falls is particularly special because it marks his first Canadian performance in nearly a decade.

And organizers have one more surprise planned after the concert.

At 10 p.m., Niagara Falls will light up with a special fireworks show choreographed to salsa music — giving the first-ever Salsa at Niagara Falls a pretty spectacular way to close out the weekend.

So if you missed Saturday, you haven’t missed the festival.

You still have one day.

You still have Frankie Negrón.

And you still have a FREE salsa concert beside one of the most famous waterfalls in the world.

Frankie Negrón performs tonight, Sunday, September 13, at 8 p.m., followed by salsa-choreographed fireworks at 10 p.m.

Admission is FREE.

Toronto Latinos is proud to be a media sponsor of Salsa at Niagara Falls and proud to support events that continue bringing Latin music, culture and community to some of Canada’s biggest stages.

One last day. One huge salsa concert. See you at the Falls.
