As the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers approach the halfway point, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made predictions about which South American teams are likely to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With the tournament set to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the qualifiers have become increasingly intense after the first of two October matchdays.

Currently, teams like Argentina and Colombia are in strong positions, while others are fighting for a spot. Using current standings and team performances, the AI tool “Copilot” made the following bold predictions:

  • Teams predicted to qualify directly: Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
  • Predicted to secure a playoff spot: Venezuela.
  • Expected to miss out: Paraguay, Peru, and Chile.

The AI emphasized that while these predictions are based on team performances so far, the competition remains fierce, and surprises could still occur in the remaining matches. With one game left in October’s qualifiers, the standings remain competitive, leaving room for potential changes in the rankings.
