Argentine designer Stepwise has crafted a special gift for Lionel Messi: a pair of custom adidas Sambas celebrating his illustrious career. Hand-painted in Oakland, the ‘What The Messi’ Sambas pay homage to the various stages of Messi’s football journey. Inspired by jerseys from his time at Barcelona, PSG, Newell’s Old Boys, Inter Miami, and the Argentine national team, these shoes are a unique patchwork of his accomplishments. The iconic Samba tongue features Messi’s logo and a 2022 World Cup winner’s patch. This isn’t Stepwise’s first venture into football-inspired footwear; previously, he released ‘What The Messi’ Nike SB Dunk Lows. Now, he’s taken it a step further by customizing one of the year’s most popular silhouettes for Messi himself, delivering them in person.
