Four Chilean nationals—Sergio Cabello, Alexander Huaiquil-Chavez, Bastian Morales, and Jordan Sanchez—were indicted in Clark County, Ohio, for a series of burglaries targeting multimillion-dollar homes, including the residence of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. They face charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, participating in a criminal gang, and possessing burglary tools.

The men were arrested on January 10 during an investigation into similar burglaries across multiple states. Evidence found in their vehicle included burglary tools and items believed to have been stolen from Burrow’s home. Police reported that the suspects were in the U.S. illegally or had overstayed their visas.

These burglaries are part of a larger trend, with organized South American theft groups targeting professional athletes’ homes. Between September and November 2024, at least nine such break-ins occurred, prompting warnings from the FBI and professional sports leagues. Other victims include NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and NBA player Luka Doncic.
