Looking for a truly one-of-a-kind Airbnb? A decommissioned Boeing 727 once linked to infamous drug kingpin Pablo Escobar is now available for overnight stays in Bristol, England, for up to $1,000 per night. Owned by businessman Johnny Palmer, the jet, stationed on a private industrial estate, features luxury amenities like a hot tub and sauna, alongside two double bedrooms, working airstairs, three toilets, a shower, and a kitchen.

Palmer transformed the jet into a functional space, restoring much of its electrical systems himself, and uses Airbnb income to fund further renovations. The plane, originally built in 1968 and converted into a private jet in 1981, was decommissioned in 2012. While its wings and engines are gone, its unique charm has made it a popular destination for travelers and artists, with Palmer offering the space for free to locals shooting music videos.

Beyond its rumored seedy history involving an Arab prince and Mafia ties, Palmer celebrates the joy and inspiration the jet brings to visitors, with plans to add a second, larger aircraft to the site. “I just think they are cool,” he says, adding, “Everyone wants a private jet, right?”
