Lionel Messi’s debut in the MLS Cup playoffs has brought a unique initiative to the league, with TikTok introducing a “Messi Cam” for his matches. This special camera will track Messi exclusively, ensuring fans don’t miss any of his movements on the field. TikTok will live-stream the footage for free, a move aimed at engaging viewers with a new level of interactivity and spotlighting Messi’s impact on American soccer.

This initiative, exclusive to the tournament for now, could expand if engagement is strong. Apple TV remains the main broadcaster, but the “Messi Cam” represents a new level of fan experience.

Inter Miami wrapped up a record-breaking regular season, securing the Supporters’ Shield and surpassing the previous points record held by the New England Revolution. Messi’s incredible hat-trick off the bench in their 6-2 win over New England highlights his influence. Miami’s first playoff match will kick off the Round One Best-of-3 Series, and they await the winner of the Eastern Conference Wild Card match between Atlanta United and CF Montreal on October 22.
