On February 16, the 48-year-old rockstar was forced to miss her concert in Peru after being rushed to the hospital due to a health scare. Fortunately, she made a full recovery and returned to the stage on Friday in Lima to continue her ongoing tour.
According to recent reports, another show on the record producer’s schedule has been canceled. The performance, originally set to take place in Colombia, has been postponed due to safety concerns.
Event organizers took to social media to explain: “During preparations for the show on February 24, the stage roof, installed by a local production company, sustained damage that posed a risk to the artist’s safety.”
The concert, which was set to be held at Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín, will be rescheduled, the organizers confirmed.
Shakira has officially launched her first tour in seven years, which will span across Latin America, the United States, and Canada.
