Selena Gomez addressed critics who shamed her for being unable to carry children during a speech at the Women in Film dinner. The 32-year-old actress and singer, who attended the event with her sister Gracie, responded bluntly, saying, “Fuck off! That’s who I am,” in reference to her health struggles, including her inability to conceive and her bipolar diagnosis. Gomez emphasized the importance of vulnerability and being open about seeking help, stating it’s not shameful.

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Gomez revealed that she cannot carry her own children due to health issues, including lupus and a kidney transplant. While she grieved this reality, she is hopeful about becoming a mother through surrogacy or adoption, embracing these possibilities as part of her unique journey. Gomez expressed gratitude for alternative paths to motherhood and excitement for her future as a mom, saying, “It’ll be my baby.”
