Toronto is gearing up for an adrenaline-packed Labour Day weekend as the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS)returns to the city’s waterfront for its 76th year. This long-running spectacle, which coincides with the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), promises heart-stopping stunts, precision flying, and a showcase of Canadian aeronautical pride.

From Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, spectators can catch everything from the iconic Canadian Forces Snowbirds to daring wing-walking performances by Mike and Samantha Tryggvason. Newcomer Luke Penner will make his CIAS debut, while Marco Rusconi will pilot the legendary P-51 Mustang. Aviation fans can also marvel at the CL-415 Waterbomber and the CF-18 and F-35 demonstration teams in action.

For a premium experience, CIAS is offering a Skydeck Cruise VIP package, letting guests enjoy the show from a private yacht with a gourmet box lunch and stunning waterfront views. Meanwhile, families and curious minds can explore the STEM Zone, featuring life-size aircraft displays, VR experiences, and aerospace-themed exhibits. Don’t forget the Food Truck Zone and Refuelling Station for local eats and refreshments.

CIAS has a rich history dating back to 1946 and became a regular fixture at the CNE by 1956. Over the decades, it has grown into a world-class event, blending precision flying, stunt performances, and cutting-edge aeronautical technology.

General admission tickets are available online for $102.99 per day, and the show can also be viewed from popular waterfront spots like Hanlan’s Point Beach, Little Norway Park, HTO Park, and Ireland Park. Whether you’re a die-hard aviation enthusiast or just looking for a spectacular outdoor experience, CIAS 2025 promises thrills and unforgettable moments above Toronto’s skyline.
