Toronto’s love for Latin music reached a new high this past Sunday, Sept. 21, as the I Love Reggaeton Block Party wrapped up its summer season with an unforgettable finale at Cabana Toronto. With perfect weather and over 1,000 guests in attendance, the waterfront venue transformed into a pulsating celebration of reggaeton, community, and culture.

What began as a grassroots vision for cultural connection has grown into one of the city’s most talked-about Latin music experiences. This season, the block party ignited Assembly Park in Vaughan, bringing people together through music, dance, and shared celebration—and the Cabana finale took that energy to the next level.

The event started off slowly; by 5pm the atmosphere was electric. Poolside views, golden sunsets, and the infectious rhythm of reggaeton created a festival-meets-nightlife vibe. Toronto’s top Latin DJs kept the music flowing, and the crowd danced non-stop, a testament to how far the event has come—from a small, community-centered gathering into a multi-location cultural movement.

For one of the organizers, Carlos Brito of Toronto Latinos, the Cabana finale was more than just a party. “We are created by community,” Brito said, highlighting the event’s mission to unite people from all walks of life through music and shared celebration. And with over 1,000 attendees, that message was loud and clear.

The success of this summer’s block parties cements I Love Reggaeton as more than an event—it’s a movement. With a grand finale at one of Toronto’s most iconic venues, the summer may have ended, but the excitement for Latin music and culture in the city shows no signs of slowing down. Toronto, clearly, is ready for more.
