Nicaragua announced on Friday that it has cut diplomatic ties with Israel in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to a report by Anadolu. The decision, reached unanimously by Nicaragua’s National Assembly, reflects the country’s stance on the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Nicaraguan government condemned Israel’s actions, characterizing them as “genocidal” and oppressive toward Palestinians. The statement emphasized the suffering endured by Palestinians due to Israeli military operations and expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian government.

In addition to addressing the situation in Palestine, Nicaragua voiced concerns about Israel’s actions in the broader Middle East, particularly regarding Lebanon, and its threats toward Syria, Yemen, and Iran. Nicaragua warned that these actions could undermine regional and global peace. This move highlights Nicaragua’s critical position in the geopolitical landscape concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
