From entrepreneurs and innovators to artists and community leaders, Latino excellence is getting the spotlight it deserves. And Toronto is hosting the celebration.
On Thursday, October 22, some of Canada’s most accomplished Hispanic Canadians will come together for the 18th Annual 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians Gala, presented by TLN Media Group.
And this isn’t just another awards ceremony.
It’s a night to celebrate ambition, success, culture and the people who are helping put our community on the map.
Taking place during Latin American Heritage Month, the gala brings together some of the country’s most inspiring Latino professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers.
For anyone who believes Canada’s Latin community deserves greater visibility, this is exactly the kind of event worth supporting.
20 Finalists. 10 Honourees. One Night Celebrating Latino Excellence.
This year’s awards recognize Hispanic Canadians making their mark in business, technology, entertainment, education, culture and community leadership.
Twenty finalists from across Canada are in the running, representing backgrounds that include Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile, Peru and Spain.
These are people building businesses, creating opportunities, breaking barriers and proving that Latino talent belongs at every level of Canadian society.
And on October 22, their achievements will take centre stage.
Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada Headlines the Evening
Adding to the occasion, Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada will deliver the keynote address.
Her participation brings another prominent Hispanic Canadian voice to an evening focused on leadership, achievement and representation.
But the celebration doesn’t end with the awards.
Guests can look forward to cocktails, canapés, live dance performances, a DJ and social dancing.
Think networking, culture, inspiration and a little Latin flavour, all under one roof.
Toronto Latinos Has a Special Connection to These Awards
For us at Toronto Latinos, this celebration hits a little closer to home.
In 2024, our founder Carlos Brito received the inaugural Influencer of the Year Award, recognizing the work Toronto Latinos has done to connect, promote and celebrate our community.
What started as a passion for Latin culture has grown into a platform bringing people together through music, entertainment, festivals, business and community initiatives.
This year, we’re proud to return as an official media sponsor of the awards.
Because when one Latino succeeds, it opens doors, creates connections and reminds the next generation of what’s possible.
And those stories deserve to be told.
Why You Should Be in the Room
Let’s be clear. This isn’t only an event for award nominees or people who already have impressive titles.
It’s an opportunity to meet the people shaping our community’s future.
Maybe you’re an entrepreneur looking to expand your network. Maybe you’re a young professional looking for inspiration. Or maybe you simply want to celebrate the accomplishments of fellow Latinos in Canada.
Whatever your reason, there’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who share your culture, understand your journey and are building something meaningful.
We spend plenty of time celebrating our favourite Latin artists, athletes and entertainers.
Why not give that same energy to our entrepreneurs, innovators and community leaders?

Let’s Celebrate Our Own
Canada’s Latino community is filled with remarkable people doing remarkable things.
Some are building companies. Others are creating jobs, advancing technology, shaping culture or giving back to the communities that helped them succeed.
Their achievements deserve more than a passing mention.
They deserve recognition, visibility and a room full of people cheering them on.
On October 22, let’s show up for our community, celebrate Latino excellence and remind Canada just how much talent we have.
See you at the gala.
