Toronto’s Latin music calendar keeps getting better. Colombian group Monsieur Periné is coming to the city this Monday, September 21, bringing their Instrucciones Para Ser Feliz Tour to Monsieur Periné at The Concert Hall. The show starts at 8 p.m. at The Concert Hall, 888 Yonge Street, with Ana Lía joining as special guest.
For anyone who hasn’t discovered Monsieur Periné yet, this is one of Colombia’s most distinctive musical exports. Led by Catalina García and Santiago Prieto Sarabia, the group has built its identity by mixing pop, jazz and swing with Latin American sounds including cumbia, salsa, bolero and guaracha.
Formed in 2007, Monsieur Periné broke internationally with albums including Hecho a Mano and Caja de Música. The latter helped earn the group the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist, while subsequent releases brought further Latin Grammy and Grammy recognition.

But millions of people around the world may know them from one song in particular: “Nuestra Canción.”
The track exploded globally during the TikTok era, becoming one of Monsieur Periné’s biggest international moments and introducing an entirely new generation to the Colombian group. Their catalogue also includes fan favourites such as “Bailar Contigo,” combining the band’s colourful Latin rhythms with the jazz and swing influences that have become part of their signature sound.

Monday’s Toronto stop is part of the group’s Instrucciones Para Ser Feliz Tour. According to the official event listing, the concert takes place Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. at The Concert Hall, the historic venue located at 888 Yonge Street.
It’s also a notable return: Songkick lists Monsieur Periné’s previous Toronto appearance as having been four years ago, making this a long-awaited opportunity for local Colombian and Latin music fans to see them back in the city.
With their mix of Colombian rhythms, jazz, pop and tropical sounds—and the kind of catalogue that can jump from romantic to full-on dance party—this should be a fun Monday night for Toronto’s Latin music crowd.
