William Nylander, a key player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, is set to rejoin the team in their pursuit of the Stanley Cup. Despite missing the first three playoff games against the Boston Bruins due to an undisclosed injury, Nylander is expected to return for Game 4, according to Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe. Boston currently leads the series 2-1 in this Original Six matchup.
Nylander had an impressive regular season, scoring 40 goals and tallying a career-high 98 points. Last spring, he contributed 10 points in 11 playoff games. This marks the first time since November 2016 that the 27-year-old has been sidelined due to injury.
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday in Boston, with Game 6, if needed, slated for Thursday in Toronto.
