Karol G continues to prove there are few boundaries left for her to cross.

The Colombian superstar has teamed up with Bruno Mars for “Still,” an emotional pop ballad featured on her latest album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. The collaboration brings together two of the biggest names in global music while showing a noticeably different side of Karol G.

Released as part of the album on August 7, “Still” features Karol singing entirely in English alongside Mars. The song explores the fear of losing someone you deeply love and the idea that those feelings can remain even after a relationship ends.

Rather than leaning into the reggaeton sound that helped make Karol G a global superstar, “Still” moves toward a softer, soulful pop sound that feels perfectly suited to Bruno Mars.

For Karol, however, singing in English wasn’t simply about reaching a larger market.

She explained that the song connected with her emotionally and expressed what she was feeling at the time. Karol has also spoken about wanting to connect with audiences who may not speak Spanish, particularly as her career continues to expand into spaces such as Coachella and the wider international pop market.

That makes “Still” another interesting moment in Karol G’s evolution.

She has already helped take Spanish-language music to some of the world’s biggest stages without abandoning her Colombian identity. Now, instead of simply bringing reggaeton into the English-language market, she’s showing that she can move comfortably between languages and genres.

And then there’s Bruno Mars.

His smooth vocals and old-school soul influence complement Karol’s more vulnerable performance, turning the record into a genuine duet rather than simply a superstar feature.

The collaboration also received a major live moment when Karol and Bruno performed “Still” together for the first time on August 15 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in front of more than 50,000 fans.

That performance became part of the song’s official music video, released September 2.

Filmed largely in black and white, the video mixes intimate backstage footage of Karol and Bruno with scenes inside the empty stadium before eventually transitioning to their massive live performance. The result feels much more personal than a traditional big-budget pop video.

For Karol G, “Still” represents more than another high-profile collaboration.

It shows just how far the Medellín-born artist’s career has expanded. A Colombian reggaeton artist who once had to fight for space in a male-dominated genre is now recording an English-language ballad with Bruno Mars and performing it in front of tens of thousands of fans in Los Angeles.

And she is doing it without leaving Latin music behind.

If anything, “Still” is another reminder of how much the definition of a “Latin artist” has changed. Karol G isn’t simply crossing over anymore — she’s operating as a global pop star who can move between reggaeton, Latin pop and English-language music on her own terms.
