J Balvin is set to release his second Jordan 3 “Rio” sneaker collaboration, inspired by the sunsets of his hometown, Medellín, Colombia. Following the success of his 2023 Jordan 3, which featured a vintage white exterior with sunset hues reflecting Medellín’s landscapes, the 2024 edition offers a “nightfall-inspired” design. This new version features a jet-black base with sunset accents around the bottom, maintaining the classic elements like the elephant print, dual-branded insoles, and J Balvin’s signature lightning-eyed smiley.

The sneakers are deeply personal, not only honoring J Balvin’s Colombian heritage but also his family life, named after his baby boy, Rio. The exclusive packaging includes a motivational message: “A sunset always reminds me, a new day full of opportunity is coming.” These highly anticipated sneakers will launch on May 22 via Nike’s SNKRS app.

J Balvin has previously collaborated on the Jordan 1 and Jordan 2 models, and fans are now speculating whether he will continue with a third Jordan 3 release or move on to a Jordan 4 collaboration, which has been gaining popularity this year.
