What began as a casual Instagram invite quickly became one of Chile’s most talked-about urban gatherings over the weekend. Colombian singer Feid surprised fans in Santiago by announcing his signature “Coffee Party”—a spontaneous event where he shares coffee and performs songs live in an intimate setting.
Held Sunday morning at Kaffera Holley in Providencia, the event drew hundreds of fans who packed the café and surrounding streets. Some even climbed rooftops and trees to catch a glimpse of the reggaeton star known as El Ferxxo. True to his relaxed style, Feid performed several tracks, joking with the crowd and even accidentally breaking parts of the café’s railing while greeting fans.
While the atmosphere was festive and no major incidents were reported, the event sparked tension among neighbors and local businesses. The gathering had no official permits, leading authorities to issue five fines to the café, including for selling alcohol without authorization and occupying public space illegally. The case was referred to the Local Police Court, with potential penalties of up to 10 UTM (a Chilean tax unit).
Despite the controversy, the “Coffee Party” format has become a signature move for Feid, replicated in different countries as a way to connect with fans beyond massive arenas. By stripping down the production and focusing on shared moments—coffee in hand and music at the forefront—Feid continues to strengthen his bond with his most loyal audience.
