El Salvador’s President Bukele Meets Elon Musk to Discuss AI Tech

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele met with tech billionaire Elon Musk in the U.S. on Friday to discuss artificial intelligence and other forward-looking topics. The meeting took place at Musk’s gigafactory in Austin, Texas, where Tesla batteries are produced. Both leaders expressed admiration for each other on X, with Bukele calling Musk “one of the great minds of our time” and Musk praising Bukele as an “amazing leader.” The two reportedly discussed the nature of reality, humanity’s future, and the impact of AI and robotics. Bukele is set to attend the UN General Assembly in New York next week.
