Cineplex Brings Back Community Day with Free Movies & $3 Snacks Across Canada

Cineplex is bringing back its popular Community Day for 2025 — and yes, that means free movie tickets and $3 snacksat theatres across Canada.

The event takes place Saturday, November 15, at participating Cineplex, The Rec Room, and Playdium locations nationwide. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (local time), you can grab free movie tickets in person — no online or app bookings, and seats are first come, first served.

This year’s lineup includes family favourites from Universal Pictures like Minions: The Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Sing 2, and The Wild Robot.

Along with free screenings, you can score $3 popcorn, drinks, and candy until 11 a.m. Cineplex’s XSCAPE arcades will offer free 30-minute playcards, while The Rec Room and Playdium will have free one-hour game bands from 9 to 11 a.m.

Until noon, you can also grab $3 fries and mini donuts at The Rec Room, or $3 popcorn, drinks, fries, and candy at Playdium.

All proceeds from food, drink, and game purchases will support Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada (BGC Canada), helping youth programs across the country.
