Toronto’s Chilean community is getting ready for a full day of fútbol, flags and celebration as Canada takes on Chile tonight at BMO Field — and the party is starting well before kickoff.
Canada and Chile meet today, Saturday, September 26, at 7:00 PM ET at BMO Field in an international friendly. It’s Canada’s first match since its historic 2026 World Cup run and the beginning of a new international cycle.
But for Chilean fans in Toronto, this is much bigger than 90 minutes of fútbol.
Before the game, Chilean supporters are gathering at Acqua Supper Club at 5 PM for a massive pre-game meet-up.
At 6 PM, fans will make their way toward BMO Field together for a traditional Banderazo — flags, jerseys, chants and plenty of Chilean pride on the way to the stadium.
Chile supporters will have their own designated section inside BMO Field, with Canada Soccer allocating Section 105 to visiting Chilean fans.
Kickoff is set for 7 PM at BMO Field.
It should be a special atmosphere. Canada is returning home following its best-ever World Cup performance, while Toronto’s large Latin American community gets another rare opportunity to see a South American national team play right here in the city.
Can’t make it to BMO Field? The match will be available on TSN, RDS and OneSoccer, with coverage beginning at 6 PM.
Once the final whistle blows, the Chilean celebration heads right back to Acqua Supper Club for the Chilean After Party.
DJ Geo, DJ Kris Toma and DJ Pina X are scheduled to provide the music, turning this into essentially a before-and-after headquarters for Chilean supporters.
So the itinerary is pretty simple:
5 PM: Meet-up at Acqua 🇨🇱
6 PM: Banderazo to BMO Field 🔥
7 PM: Canada vs. Chile ⚽
After the game: Back to Acqua for the Chilean After Party 🎉
Win, lose or draw, expect to see a lot of red, white and blue around Toronto today. 🇨🇱🔥
