Canada Releases Limited-Edition Coins for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to kick off this summer, the Royal Canadian Mint has unveiled a collection of limited-edition commemorative coins celebrating the global tournament.

The collection includes six unique designs made from silver and pure gold, each officially licensed by FIFA. While they’re technically coins, their collectible status — and high price tags — mean they’re unlikely to end up in everyday circulation.

The most affordable option is “The Winning Goal,” a one-ounce silver coin priced at $279.95 with a mintage of 11,000 pieces. Another silver design, “We Are 26,” celebrates the diversity and cultural energy of the tournament’s host nations.

For collectors seeking something more exclusive, the Mint also released several gold coins. The ¼-ounce “Beautiful Game” gold coin costs $2,869.95, while the 1-ounce “We All Play Together” coin is priced at $10,999.95.

The most premium piece in the series is the “Celebration” 5-ounce pure gold coin, priced at $49,899.95, with only 175 pieces available worldwide.

Each coin comes with a certificate of authenticity and special packaging, marking Canada’s role as one of the hosts of the historic 2026 tournament.

Toronto FC v Inter Miami CF – May 9, 2026

May 9 isn’t just a game — it’s a city moment, and we’re working directly with MLSE to bring the Toronto Latinos community together for Toronto FC vs Inter Miami at BMO Field — a chance to watch Messi and other World Cup-bound stars live, right here in our backyard weeks before the FIFA World Cup.

But we’re not just pulling up for 90 minutes. We’re starting with a pre-party at the stadium hours before the match, and finishing the night with an afterparty steps from the field. No moving your car. No breaking the vibe. Just one full-day experience. If you’re coming, come with us.

Email info@torontolatinos.com for discounted, group rate tickets.
