BARRIO (Marca) – Bad Bunny celebrated a historic milestone as his hit song “Titi Me Preguntó” reached one billion Spotify streams.
During the most recent episode of Spotify’s Billions Club series, the artist shared insights into the song and expressed his gratitude to collaborators and fans.
The other two artists featured on the series so far are Billie Eilish and Post Malone.
Bad Bunny, the chart-topping Puerto Rican artist, recently joined the prestigious Billion Streams Club on Spotify with his hit song, and he’s now the leading artist in Spotify history with 12 songs that have exceeded one billion streams each.
“Titi Me Preguntó” stands as a symbol of Bad Bunny’s extraordinary musical journey, with the song’s remarkable feat celebrated during a recent Billions Club brunch event filmed for Spotify’s YouTube channel.
During the ‘Spotify|Billinos Club: The Series featuring Bad Bunny’ video, Bad Bunny was presented with a shiny plaque to commemorate “Titi Me Preguntó” reaching one billion Spotify streams in January.
In the video, Benito reflected on the extraordinary achievement by saying “The feeling of having one billion streams for this song right now is the same emotion I felt when I got 5,000 plays for the first time. For me, it’s just as big knowing that there are people who want to listen and want to enjoy what you make.”
Bad Bunny, who was also challenged to encapsulate the essence of “Titi Me Preguntó” in just 10 seconds, called the task “impossible” because the song represents “a lifetime of love and romance.”
However, he took on the challenge, explaining, “It’s a song that was born very spontaneously in the Dominican Republic. All of the people mentioned in the song exist in real life. Nothing I say in the song is a lie, including the part I say I want to fall in love, but I can’t.”
Bad Bunny’s monumental success on Spotify extends beyond “Titi Me Preguntó.” With 58 billion streams on the platform, he has held the title of Spotify’smost-streamed artist of the year for three consecutive years.
His impressive collection of songs with over one billion streams each includes hits like “Yonaguni,” “Dákiti” (with Jhayco), and “MIA” (with Drake).
At the end of the video, Bad Bunny took a moment to thank his fans for their unwavering support. He also expressed gratitude to his parents, who believed in him not only in music but also in every decision he’s made in his life.
