Bad Bunny’s Medellín Shows Will Generate Millions and Boost Local Tourism

Jan 23, 2026 | Entertainment, Travel, World

January 23, 2026

Medellín is about to experience one of the biggest weekends of its 2026 concert calendar as Bad Bunny takes over the Atanasio Girardot stadium on January 23, 24, and 25.

The three shows sold out in less than 24 hours — and the economic effect goes far beyond ticket sales. According to Fenalco Antioquia, the concerts could generate more than $20 million USD in economic activity across the city.

Ticket sales alone are estimated at $7 million USD per show, with around 50,000 tickets sold each night. But the real impact comes from what happens around the concerts: hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, taxis, ride-shares, and shopping districts all see major spikes in demand.

Tourism officials estimate that visitors traveling to Medellín specifically for the concerts could spend up to $36 million USD, covering everything from lodging and transportation to dining, nightlife, and entertainment activities.

With multiple major events happening around the same time — including Colombiatex and Colombia Moda — Medellín continues building its reputation as one of Latin America’s top entertainment and tourism destinations.
