Anuel AA is making headlines again, and this time it’s not just about his music.

The Puerto Rican reggaeton star publicly asked his ex-fiancée, Colombian superstar Karol G, to unblock him on social media while promoting his latest single, Vuelve.

In an Instagram post shared on October 9, Anuel wrote:

“VUELVE KAROL G DESBLOQUÉAME BB. NO ES QUE YO SEA UN CUERO, ES QUE YO ME ENAMORO PROFUNDAMENTE.”

Translation? He’s asking Karol G to unblock him, insisting he’s not a player — he just falls deeply in love.

Naturally, the internet had plenty to say.

A Love Story That Still Makes Headlines

Anuel AA and Karol G were once one of Latin music’s biggest power couples.

The two began dating in 2018, became engaged in 2019 and collaborated on hits including Secreto and Culpables. Their relationship ended in 2021, but Anuel has continued referencing his former partner in songs, performances and social media posts.

His latest message comes alongside the release of Vuelve, a new trap single from his upcoming album, Real Hasta la Muerte 2.

Anuel even challenged other artists in the genre to release a better trap song, calling his latest music some of the year’s best.

Is It Love or Just Good Marketing?

That’s the question fans are asking.

With a song titled Vuelve, meaning “Come Back,” Anuel’s decision to mention Karol G has people wondering whether he’s genuinely trying to reconnect or simply generating attention for his new release.

It’s also not the first time he’s publicly asked the Colombian singer to unblock him.

As of October 13, Karol G has not publicly responded to his latest message.

One thing is certain: Anuel knows how to get people talking.

But what do you think? Is Anuel still holding on to Karol G, or is this just another clever way to promote his music?
