Finalissima 2022 – Italy vs. Argentina

BARRIO – European champions Italy will play South American champions Argentina in the Finalissima 2022 at Wembley Stadium today.

It will be a special occasion at Wembley Stadium as two footballing giants in Italy and Argentina square off against each other in the Finalissima 2022, with the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions at stake.

It will just be the third edition of the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions that includes the champions of Europe against the South American champions.

Italy come into the game on the back of a disappointing run that saw them fail to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022. Roberto Mancini’s side have won just two of their last six games while losing two, which include a crucial World Cup qualifier tie against North Macedonia earlier this year and a semi-final defeat in the UEFA Nations League last October.

Argentina, meanwhile, are on an amazing 31-match unbeaten streak that dates back to July 2019. They have played four games already in 2022, winning three of those, but their most recent clash ended in a 1-1 draw against Ecuador.

Italy have not been in the best form since UEFA Euro 2020. And they will be going into this game without their two regular attackers in Ciro Immobile and Federico Chiesa. Meanwhile, Argentina have not lost a game in almost three years and have plenty of quality on the pitch and off the bench if needed.

Given their superior form in recent games and the overall depth in terms of quality in the roster, they should be able to lift the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions by winning the Finalissima 2022 at Wembley Stadium.

We predict Argentina 2 – Italy 0
