Toronto FC has strengthened its attack ahead of the 2026 season, announcing the loan signing of Colombian forward Emilio Aristizábal from Atlético Nacional.

The 19-year-old Medellín native is considered one of Colombia’s most promising young talents. He is also the son of former Colombian national team striker Víctor Aristizábal, who helped Colombia win the 2001 Copa América.

Aristizábal made his senior debut with Atlético Nacional in 2023 before spending the 2025 season on loan at Fortaleza CEIF, where he impressed with 12 goals and two assists in 36 appearances. His breakout year also included representing Colombia at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, helping secure a bronze medal.

TFC General Manager Jason Hernandez praised the move, calling Aristizábal “one of Colombia’s top young attacking talents” and highlighting his offensive production at such a young age.

The Reds kick off their 2026 campaign Saturday night on the road against FC Dallas, with fans eager to see how the Colombian prospect fits into Toronto’s frontline.

Toronto FC v Inter Miami – May 9

May 9 isn’t just a game — it’s a city moment, and we’re working directly with MLSE to bring the Toronto Latinos community together for Toronto FC vs Inter Miami at BMO Field — a chance to watch Messi and other World Cup-bound stars live, right here in our backyard weeks before the FIFA World Cup.

But we’re not just pulling up for 90 minutes. We’re starting with a pre-party at the stadium hours before the match, and finishing the night with an afterparty steps from the field. No moving your car. No breaking the vibe. Just one full-day experience. If you’re coming, come with us.
