World Cup 2026 Ticket Madness Is Real — And Miami Is the Hottest Spot

The demand for World Cup 2026 tickets is already off the charts. In just the first 24 hours of FIFA’s third ticket sales window, fans submitted over five million ticket requests — and the most in-demand group stage match in the entire tournament is Colombia vs. Portugal on June 27 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

That hype makes total sense. This is expected to be Cristiano Ronaldo’s final World Cup, and the 40-year-old global icon still draws massive crowds. Add in Colombia’s famously passionate fanbase — plus nearly 240,000 Colombians living in South Florida — and Miami instantly becomes ground zero for World Cup energy.

According to FIFA, two of the top five most requested matches are set for Hard Rock Stadium (which will be called Miami Stadium during the tournament). Other high-demand games include Brazil vs. Morocco, Mexico vs. South Korea, and Ecuador vs. Germany.

Fans from more than 200 countries applied for tickets, with the U.S., Mexico, and Canada leading the way — followed closely by Colombia, England, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany.

Miami will host several major matches, including potential knockout games where Lionel Messi could play just minutes from his Fort Lauderdale home. A quarterfinal and the third-place match are also scheduled there.

The current ticket window stays open until January 13, 2026, with resale options launching December 15. Bottom line: if you want in, now’s the time — because the World Cup hype has officially arrived.
