Tickets for the upcoming soccer match between Argentina and Peru in Miami are in high demand, with prices reaching up to $8,400 plus fees just hours after the presale began, according to Ticketmaster data. Copa America tickets, in general, are averaging $734, as reported by SeatGeek Inc. Resale tickets for Argentina’s game against Chile at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey are also commanding high prices, up to $9,700 on SeatGeek, compared to a presale price of about $280 earlier on Thursday.

The anticipation for these matches underscores the immense popularity of soccer superstar and reigning World Cup champion Lionel Messi, who has been a major draw since arriving in the US last year. His presence has led to increased ticket prices for Inter Miami CF’s MLS matches, attracted new sponsors to the team, and even spawned marketing ventures like Super Bowl ads and a documentary. Copa America, set to kick off in June, serves as a lead-up to the FIFA World Cup in 2026, which the US is hosting alongside Canada and Mexico.
