Despite this news, Starbucks products have been available in Ecuador since 2023 through supermarket chains, notably the Frappuccino, introduced by the North American Coffee Partnership. Originally starting as a small coffee shop in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has since expanded globally, with a presence in over 70 countries, including six in Latin America. In Ecuador, it will face competition from the established chain Sweet & Coffee, boasting over 130 outlets nationwide.
