This time, she’s lending her talents to the 2024 Copa America by adapting her song “Puntería” from her latest album “Las mujeres ya no lloran,” featuring a duet with Cardi B. The choice of this song was fitting, as precision is essential in soccer, whether it’s in a pass, shot, or save.
Shakira made the announcement in New York City, accompanied by Ignacio Meyer, president of Univision Networks Group. The song will resonate throughout the tournament, running from June 20 to July 14. Alongside the announcement, a video was released featuring glimpses of Shakira’s performance, showcasing her enduring connection with the world of soccer.
