Selena Gomez has announced her engagement to songwriter Benny Blanco, sharing the news on Instagram with a photo of her engagement ring and the caption, “forever begins now.” The couple, who confirmed their relationship last year, celebrated the moment with congratulatory messages from stars like Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lil Nas X. Swift even joked about being the flower girl.

In an Instagram Story, Gomez shared a video of herself showing the ring to loved ones during a phone call, evoking excited reactions. The two-time Grammy-nominated singer and actress previously collaborated with Blanco on the songs “I Can’t Get Enough” (2019) and “Single Soon” (2023).

Blanco has been open about his admiration for Gomez, describing her as “genuine,” “charming,” and “humble” during an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show in May.

Gomez, known for her successful music career and acting roles, has also achieved business success with her Rare Beautybrand, contributing to her $1.3 billion fortune. Recently, she received two Golden Globe nominations: Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez and Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy, for Only Murders in the Building.

This marks a joyful new chapter for Gomez, who has previously been in high-profile relationships with Justin Bieber and The Weeknd.
