Neymar is reportedly nearing the purchase of a private island off the coast of Brazil, valued at £7 million. The island, named Japao Private Island, is located near Angra dos Reis in the southwest of Rio de Janeiro state and spans six acres. Known for its stunning beaches and luxurious amenities, the island includes a main Indonesian-style villa with two master suites, a koi fish pond, and three sea-view bungalows. Watch video here.

Neymar’s interest in the property was sparked after the Canadian owner reduced the asking price by over £3 million. Brazilian journalist Leo Dias reported that Neymar, along with property investor Sheik Muhammad Binghatti, has paid more than £40,000 to rent the island later this month as a “test drive” before finalizing the deal.

Celebrities, including Neymar’s ex, Bruna Marquezine, have previously stayed on the island, which is accessible only by boat or helicopter, with a helicopter ride from Rio de Janeiro’s International Airport taking around 35 minutes. The secluded island, capable of hosting up to 10 guests, seems like the ideal escape for Neymar.
