Neymar Named Sole Heir to £752 Million Fortune by Brazilian Billionaire

Football superstar Neymar may be adding another massive fortune to his already staggering wealth. A Brazilian billionaire from Rio Grande do Sul, who recently passed away childless, named the Al-Hilal forward as the sole heir in his will — leaving behind an estimated £752 million in assets, including properties, investments, and corporate shares.

The businessman, just 31 at the time of his passing, formally registered the will in June 2025 with witnesses present. In the document, he stated that the decision was made freely and reflected his admiration for Neymar, citing the player’s family values and humility. “I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot. He’s not self-serving, something rare these days,” he wrote, adding that Neymar’s bond with his father reminded him of his own late father.

Neymar, who already has a net worth exceeding £846 million, has not commented publicly on the inheritance. If the will passes through Brazil’s courts, the transfer of wealth will be subject to taxes and could still face legal challenges.

This surprise twist comes as Neymar continues his football journey — after a stint at Barcelona, PSG, and now Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, he recently returned to his boyhood club Santos while keeping eyes on representing Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Already one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, Neymar’s fortune and legacy may now grow even larger — not just from his talent on the pitch, but from a billionaire’s extraordinary final wish.
