Netflix is making a massive move in Mexico with a historic $1 billion investment over the next four years, backing 20 productions annually. CEO Ted Sarandos praised the country’s talent, stating that Netflix shares President Sheinbaum’s vision for a thriving Mexico.

This investment will generate jobs, strengthen the film industry, and cement Mexico as a global production hub. Netflix will also collaborate with Estudios Churubusco to enhance its facilities and support Mexican talent.

Sheinbaum emphasized the economic boost from the deal, highlighting its impact on tourism, employment, and global visibility for Mexico. The government is working to streamline permits to attract more investments of this scale.

With past successes like Roma and Pinocchio, Netflix’s commitment to Mexican storytelling is stronger than ever.
