Over the weekend, more than 80 teenagers were released from prison in Venezuela following their arrests during anti-government protests after the disputed presidential election in late July. The election results declared President Nicolas Maduro the winner, but the opposition claims their candidate, Edmundo Gonzalez, won by a landslide. The post-election unrest resulted in 27 deaths and the arrest of approximately 2,400 people. The human rights group Foro Penal reported that 86 teenagers who were detained during the protests have been recently released.
