Maná has made history as the first-ever Spanish-language rock band nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, marking a long-overdue recognition for Latin music. This is the first Latin nomination in nearly a decade since Los Lobos in 2016. The band, formed over 30 years ago in Guadalajara, Mexico, has been a dominant force in rock en español, with multiple No. 1 albums, record-breaking tours, and a strong activist presence supporting environmental justice and immigrant rights.

Their nomination comes alongside artists like Mariah Carey, Oasis, and Outkast for the Class of 2025, with final inductees announced in April. Maná’s legacy includes chart-topping hits, extensive global touring, and a deep connection with their fans. Lead singer Fher Olvera expressed gratitude for the nomination, dedicating it to the Latino community and immigrants. The induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this fall.
