J Balvin returned to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo stage on March 4, performing for more than 70,000 fans at NRG Stadium in Houston. The show marked a full-circle moment for the global superstar, eight years after he made history in 2018 as the first reggaeton artist to headline the rodeo.

Opening with his global hit “Mi Gente,” Balvin delivered a high-energy set packed with fan favorites including “Amarillo,” “Azul,” “Con Altura,” and “I Like It.” Pyrotechnics lit up the stadium as the Colombian star blended reggaeton with Western flair, even joking that his cowboy alter ego for the night was “El Yeehaw.”

During the show, Balvin also premiered his new single “Tonto,” featuring Ryan Castro and DJ Snake. The song’s video includes appearances by his wife, Valentina Ferrer, and their son Río.

Balvin used the moment to thank the Latino community in attendance, highlighting the growing influence of Latin music on one of America’s biggest live entertainment stages.
