Cardi B is ready to tap deeper into her roots—and the Spanish market.
During a recent stop on her tour in Charlotte, the Bronx superstar told fans she plans to release a full Spanish-language album after her next project. “After this album… I’m going to the Spanish market. I ain’t talking no more English. Hola!” she said, sparking excitement across her fanbase.
For Cardi, this isn’t just a business move—it’s personal.
Despite being born and raised in New York, Spanish is actually her first language. She’s spoken before about learning English later as a child, and how that background shapes her identity and artistry.
Still, she knows it won’t be easy.
In past interviews, Cardi admitted that breaking into Latin music comes with its own pressure. “That Latin world… it’s a different world,” she said, acknowledging the expectations that come with the genre. But even then, she made it clear—she wants to go for it.
And fans are ready.
A previous poll showed overwhelming support for a Spanish album, with nearly 80% of voters backing the idea.
Cardi B has already proven she can cross cultures and dominate globally.
Now, she’s aiming to do it—en español.
