Colombian police arrested 22-year-old Karen Juliet Ojeda Rodríguez, known as “La Muñeca” (“The Doll”), a suspected hitwoman and the second-in-command of the gang “Los de la M.” The gang is involved in violent struggles for drug trafficking control in Santander’s northern region. She was arrested in Barrancabermeja, along with a male suspect nicknamed “Leopoldo,” for possession of a 9mm handgun undergoing tests to link it to local crimes.

Police described the arrests as significant in combating murder in the area, which has seen over 120 killings this year. Local reports allege “La Muñeca” joined the criminal underworld at 18 and orchestrated targeted killings, including the murder of her ex-partner, nicknamed “Orejas” (“Ears”). This arrest highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle violent criminal networks in Colombia.
