Colombian officials are implementing emergency measures to ensure flights run on schedule after two major airlines, Avianca and Latam, reported jet fuel shortages, leading to flight cancellations and the suspension of ticket sales. Ecopetrol, the national oil company, plans to import 100,000 barrels of jet fuel to address the shortage, which was exacerbated by a power outage at a refinery.
