Soccer fans in Canada are about to get a once-in-a-lifetime chance: seeing the real FIFA World Cup trophy — the same one lifted by Lionel Messi — up close.

The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is making its way across Canada between April 9 and May 26, with fan registration now open. The tour is designed to build excitement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and bring supporters closer to the heart of the game.

Canadian Tour Stops

The trophy will visit seven Canadian cities:

  • Toronto

  • Vancouver

  • Montreal

  • Ottawa

  • Winnipeg

  • Calgary

  • Halifax

Fans attending the events will get access to interactive football experiences, challenges, exclusive content with FIFA legends, and of course, a chance to see the iconic trophy in person.

The Canadian leg is part of a much larger global journey, with the trophy visiting 30 FIFA member associations and making 75 stops over more than 150 days.

How to Join

Fans must register for tickets to attend the tour events. Registration also includes entry into a sweepstakes for a chance to become a FIFA World Cup 2026 flag-bearer, offering an unforgettable on-pitch experience.

Countdown to the World Cup

Excitement is building as Canada prepares to host matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the largest edition in tournament history, co-hosted with the U.S. and Mexico.

The Canadian portion of the tournament begins June 12 in Toronto at BMO Field, where Canada’s national team will play its opening match. Toronto is set to host six games in total, including group stage matches and a knockout-round fixture.

The global tournament kicks off one day earlier in Mexico City.

With the trophy now heading across the country, the road to 2026 is officially starting to feel real for Canadian fans.
