Cineplex and TSN are teaming up to bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 experience to the big screen across Canada. The companies announced that select World Cup matches will be broadcast live in participating Cineplex theatres nationwide, giving fans a new way to experience the tournament alongside fellow supporters.

Tickets officially go on sale starting May 15 at 3 p.m. EST and will cost $9.99 plus taxes and online booking fees. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online through Cineplex or directly at participating theatre box offices. Additional match tickets will be released in stages throughout the tournament.

The screenings will take place in dozens of theatres across the country, including major locations throughout Ontario such as Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan, Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP, SilverCity Brampton Cinemas, and Scotiabank Theatre Ottawa. Locations in Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Atlantic Canada, and beyond will also participate.

Fans attending the screenings can expect the full sports-viewing atmosphere, complete with movie theatre concessions and alcoholic beverages where permitted. The partnership arrives as Canada prepares to host matches during the World Cup for the first time in history, including games in Toronto and Vancouver.

As the exclusive Canadian broadcaster of the World Cup, TSN and RDS will carry all 104 matches throughout the tournament, with additional coverage available through CTV and Crave.

For soccer fans unable to attend matches in person, Cineplex’s theatre broadcasts could become one of the most unique ways to experience the excitement and energy of the world’s biggest sporting event this summer.
