Dominican Republic tourism making history again

The Dominican Republic has set another record as the most-visited destination in the Caribbean. In the first nine months of 2024, the country welcomed 8.362 million visitors, the highest ever for that period. September alone saw a 55% increase in visitors compared to 2019 and a 21% increase over 2022, with 468,916 stayover visitors and 111,701 cruise passengers. In total, there were 6.43 million air arrivals and 1.93 million cruise passengers. Tourism Minister David Collado announced that the goal is to reach 11.5 million visitors for the year.
