Canada’s Most Influential Hispanics: Why TLN’s Top 10 List Hits Different

The 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians Awards, led by TLN Media Group in partnership with the Hispanic Business Alliance, stands as one of the most important recognitions of Latino excellence in the country.

Since launching in 2007, the program has honoured over 170 trailblazers—leaders who are actively shaping Canada’s future through impact in business, media, education, entrepreneurship, and community work. It’s not just a celebration—it’s a powerful reminder of how far the Hispanic community has come, and where it’s headed.

What makes this initiative special is its reach and credibility. Open nominations allow the public to spotlight individuals making real change, while a combination of media, community leaders, past winners, and public voting ultimately help determine the final Top 10 announced each fall.

With nominations for 2026 closing tomorrow, there’s still a final window to recognize individuals making a real impact. The conversation around influence and representation continues, and recognition like this doesn’t just highlight success—it inspires the next generation to step forward and lead. To submit a nomination, please visit https://www.tln.ca/top10/.

Among past honourees is Carlos Brito, founder of Toronto Latinos, whose work has played a major role in elevating Latin culture across the GTA through festivals, media, and community-driven initiatives.

Platforms like this matter. They don’t just recognize influence—they help build it.
