Can the Maple Leafs do the unthinkable and complete the comeback?

Let’s be honest. When the Leafs went down 3-1 in the series, you couldn’t find a soul who thought we would be in the position we are right now!

The Toronto Maple Leafs secured a crucial victory over the Boston Bruins, setting up a winner-takes-all Game 7 on Saturday. Despite their history of forcing playoff series to the limit, they face the challenge of breaking a two-decade-long streak of Game 7 losses. Over the past seven seasons, they’ve lost all four Game 7s, including two to the Bruins, and have been outscored 17-7. Their last Game 7 victory dates back to the 2003-04 season against the Ottawa Senators. Can they overcome this jinx and advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second consecutive year? The Leafs need to maintain their recent desperate form, rely on goaltender Joseph Woll’s stellar performance, and possibly see the return of key player Auston Matthews. The hockey world awaits Saturday’s showdown, hoping the Leafs can finally put an end to their Game 7 woes.
