Barrio Scholarship Fund

Next scholarship will be awarded on August 1, 2025 LIVE on Instagram

This Scholarship is awarded to Latin students who are in the process of completing their final year of high school, and who will be entering their first year at an accredited College or University come September 2025.

It will be awarded based on a holistic overview of the application, which consists of both the eligibility criteria and supporting documentation.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • ^Of Latin Descent
  • ^Canadian Citizen and legal residents of Canada
  • ^Currently completing their final year of high school
  • ^Proof of attending an accredited College or University for September 2025

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION:

  • ^ Updated resume
  • ^Most recent report card
  • ^An essay of no more than 1,000 words outlining why you believe you should be the recipient of the Barrio Scholarship Award

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, your essay, unusual personal or family circumstances, and reference letters. Financial need is not considered.
