Bad Bunny and Adidas are back with another highly anticipated sneaker release, and fans are already calling it one of their best collaborations yet.
The latest drop is a striking new version of the Bad Bunny Ballerina, a slim, low-profile sneaker inspired by ballet footwear and classic martial arts shoes. The vibrant red colorway first caught fans’ attention when Bad Bunny wore the sneakers during his sold-out residency in Puerto Rico, instantly sparking speculation about a future release.
According to Adidas, the vivid red design pays tribute to Puerto Rico’s iconic Flamboyán trees, known for their bright red flowers that bloom across the island each spring. The Flamboyán has long been viewed as a symbol of resilience and pride in Puerto Rican culture, making it a fitting inspiration for one of the island’s biggest global stars.
The sneaker features textured suede uppers, bungee-style laces, and a sleek silhouette designed for everyday wear. While it draws inspiration from Adidas’ early-2000s Taekwondo shoe, the Ballerina offers a modern twist that blends sport, fashion, and Bad Bunny’s signature style.
Retailing for $120, the shoe officially launched on May 30 and is expected to sell out quickly. Previous Bad Bunny collaborations, including the popular BADBO 1.0, disappeared almost instantly and now command hundreds of dollars on resale platforms.
Since first partnering in 2021, Bad Bunny and Adidas have created some of the most sought-after sneaker collaborations in the industry, helping bridge music, fashion, and Latin culture for a global audience.
